1. Does the United States get the highest freedom scores of 1 for both political rights and civil liberties in the column for 2006? Yes. Look through that list for other countries normally thought to be allies or staunch friends of the United States. How do they rate? Some of them have low freedom while most are free. Do any not have the highest ratings on both indicators? Yes. Are any "Not Free" or only "Partly Free"? Yes. Write a short report about what you find. Some of the allies of the United States are “partly free” or “not free” while most are free.
2. Where does the United States rank on the Human Poverty Index (HPI-2) compared with the other European nations? The US does not have very high poverty. How can the United States rank higher on HDI (the level of development) than on HPI-2 (internal deviations from the level of development)?

YES IN 2006 THE UNITED STATES DID GET BOTH 1’S FOR CIVILLIBERTIES AS WELL AS HIGH FREEDOM SCORES. England as well as Italy and France also had the same rankings as the united states. When I look at the map most countries number fall between a one number margin of difference between there liberties and freedoms. Many countries over in Asia and parts of Europe all under the not free part free columns. The evidence provided from this chart shows how privileged The united states really is we are a free nation unlike many nations that fall under heavy rulings. We have civil liberties as well as other freedom that work cohesively under our laws.

2. Freedom Versus Equality: Which Nations Have More Social Inequality?
Where does the United States rank on the Human Poverty Index (HPI-2) compared with the other European nations? How can the United States rank higher on HDI (the level of development) than on HPI-2 (internal deviations from the level of development)?

Compared against the European countries the united states does not rank very high on the poverty charts. We do however have high level of development because our society. Human beings are
both the means and the end of development., if we are always developing and developing along with our culture and its new developments we are always ahead in the scheme of things making us rank higher. Our Internal deviations
